File extension dsf information
DSF file format is designer vector graphics, which was formally Micrografx Designer, designed and supported by Corel. These graphics are based upon mathematical equations that are used to represent an image on a computer monitor. DSF files use mathematical formulae to represent an image. Thus, a DSF file will usually maintain its high quality regardless of the monitor resolution that has been set. A hardcopy printout is even of a much higher quality. In other formats, the picture quality diminishes, as the picture gets bigger, making DSF vector files a preferred format.
Cannot open dsf files in Windows?
Not being able to open dsf files in Windows may be a result of registry errors or not having the appropriate application installed. It is strongly recommended that you scan your computer for registry errors (free). The advantages of using DSF format over a raster graphic are many. One is that DSF is much smaller since the size dimension of the object is not taken under consideration. These files can be zoomed in and out without affecting the picture quality. This file format is also not affected by picture modifications that may take place. This includes moving, scaling or rotating the picture. All these modifications do not affect or degrade the picture quality. The picture maintains its smooth look even after a number of modifications have been done to it.
